Love this feeder! Fits a 50 lb pellet bag perfect. We added the hat and have had no issues with wet or wasted food. Bought one a couple years back and just ordered another due to how well it has worked. Highly recommend.

We’ve used homemade 5 gallon bucket feeders for years. This was the best purchase for our yard birds. No more soaked food.

After a number of DIY chicken feeder attempts, purchased this with the ring and cover. 3 weeks of use: Money well spent! Little to no feed loss, cover does a good job in keeping out rain and gives shade while eating. As with prior purchases—packaging was good and shipment timely. Highly recommend.

This feeder is truly effective in protecting feed from precipitation. My hens have been unable to spill or access the feed in any significant amounts. I've had this item on my homestead for over 2 years now and would recommend it to anyone looking to feed large numbers of hens, save on feed waste, or reduce the frequency of feeding.

While I do like this feeder, it does not hold a 50# bag of broiler pellets like I had hoped. Maybe crumble takes less room? It's close but I still have some left over in the bag after filling the feeder.
