Manual Joint Clamp
How to Use
- Remove nut and washer. Place split-bolt portion over the wire that is being attached.
- Place bare end of connecting wire into the slot of split bolt. (If using insulated wire, sold separately, thread off about 2" of insulation.) Repeat as many times as needed for multiple wires.
- Replace the washer; screw the nut down tight. Do not over-tighten.

I use these sparingly only because they tend to loosen up over time. They are a fine product, but I’ve just noticed that for long term connections, they can loosen up too much. I think it’s the vibration from the wind going across the wires, or something like that.

Premier has a lot of great products and I will remain a Premier customer but the threads on these joint clamps are difficult to get nut started and seem to break easy if tightened just a little too much. I have started using Dare brand manual joint clamps and will see if both hold up similar over time.

Great product. Perfect for 12.5 gauge HT wire. Price is right.

Perfect for hi tensile connections. Easy to use. Can be finger tight for quick release if you need it.

Bigger than I expected, and a bit too heavy for my intended use linking non-HT wires. Probably ideal for the recommended use of linking 12.5 gauge HT wire
