Kane Portable Waterer
Automatic waterer for small groups of rams, billies, show sheep, orphan lambs, poultry, dogs, etc.
We have had two of these in use for several years at Premier. They work well when temperatures are above freezing.

Kane has changed these waterers. We’ve had a couple old ones for a couple years that worked great. The new version has a different float and hose fitting. The threads on the float aren’t long enough to tighten the hose fitting so it leaks. And the garden hose fitting is a cheap plastic piece that won’t tighten up nice like the old brass fittings did so it leaks too. Tried using Rectorseal 5 instead of tape and even that won’t stop the leak. Looks like a big fail to me.

I was skeptical but I really love this waterer. Definitely worth the money I use it for my flock of 250 chickens 60 sheep and over a hundred pigs. I would suggest taking a heavy duty plastic pallet and bolting it to the pallet so the pigs do not destroy it though. Easy to clean and it shuts off if it flips over which is awesome. This has saved me so much time and stress especially on hot days worrying about if the animals are going to run out of water.

This automatic waterer has made chicken keeping so much easier. I never have to worry if my chickens have a fresh water supply. It is heavy duty plastic and comes with an an adapter that connected right to my hose. Dogs love it too!
I wouldn’t recommend for chicks as they could drown.

I bought the Kane Portable Waterer for my silkies. Attached a hose and the float keeps the water filled. My daughter has chickens and inquired on a water system so I ordered another to give to her. Worth it! Easy to clean, and again no worrying about containers falling or running dry. Great buy!
