Cone and knife are very high quality and worked beautifully. I processed a lightweight duck breed drayke (Khaki Campbell). And even though he was small the cone worked beautifully, and I could tell it would still work for a much larger bird. Processing him was quick, gentle and a much nicer experience than other methods.
So far I have bought many Premier 1 products including sheep shears. I also send my combs into Premier 1 to be sharpened, electro-netting, ear tags and electric clippers and I have always been impressed with the quality! All of their products have continued to function well years after purchase.
The service is also great! Things ship quickly and arrive in good order.

Very sturdy construction with care to make sure there are no sharp edges. Worth the investment.

We purchased the medium sized cones based on their recommended breed sizes. Our New Hampshire breed chickens, roosters, dressed out at 7 pounds, and these cones could barely handle them. We did have to push the cone in to get the bird to slide down into the cone to get the head out.
These cones are sturdy and seem well built. We used two screws, one in each upper corner, to hand them. The one hole in the middle would not have done enough and would have allowed too much movement.
We will purchase a couple larger cones for the next batch.

I ordered the large cone for processing turkeys. It was way to small, we processed them at 15 weeks so they were on the small side and I could not get their heads out the bottom of the cone. I had to cut some of the bottom off of the cone. If you want to process turkeys get the extra large cone. I will try it on my largest chickens and I expect it will work well.

I did "install" the medium size cone, with zip ties on my kennel fence. I haven't used it yet but I did point it out to a naughty rooster. He'll most likely be the first candidate. It's well made, no sharp edges. Easy enough to clean.
