Easy to put together. Very sturdy.

I ordered this larger waterer because I was tired of filling up my smaller waterer twice a day for my growing chickens. It is perfect for my flock. It arrived with easy instructions and I had it set up quickly. It works exactly as described. Now my flock of 13 have fresh water without an extra trip from me.

This is a great waterer for our chickens.

I despise this waterer. It is stupid difficult to put together and there are several small parts that are easily lost. If the lid ever comes off and heaven forbid a piece of debris falls in, it'll immediately stop working.
Unless it's on a *perfectly* level spot, it leaks until it's empty in minutes and you are left with mud and thirsty birds. Algea grows in it like you're getting paid to grow it. Cleaning it is a half hour chore and if you miss one little bit of dirt, guess what, it leaks.
I hate it so very much. Maybe it'll give it to my kid for target practice.

Ours is almost a year old, and it just got retired. I had to flexseal the bottom fittings to keep it from leaking a few months after we got it, which wasn’t that big of deal. What was a big deal was continuing to try to keep water in the basin. We’ve had heat indexes of 110+, and our chickens were out of water several times this summer. The flow just wouldn’t stop, and it just puddled around the base of the waterer. Leveling the stand and cleaning the vent, only seemed to be a temporary fix.
We loved the QC waterer when it worked, but we went back to cheap farm store waterers. They’re more troublesome to refill and keep clean, but the don’t have any issues.
