Recharger for 12V SLA Fence Batteries
12V battery recharger. Provides 1.5 amp trickle charge.
Can be used to recharge 12V sealed lead acid (SLA) batteries used in Premier’s solar fence energizers.
Specs
- 1.5 amp
- 12V
- AC adapter with alligator clips
How to Use
A fully charged battery should have a resting voltage between 12.8V–12.6V.
Use a Fence & Battery Digital Tester to determine when 12V batteries need to be recharged.
Tips
Failure to maintain a sealed lead acid (SLA) battery will dramatically shorten the lifespan and/or permanently damage it.
- Immediately after recharging, allow the battery to “rest” for 45–60 minutes, then measure the voltage. A fully charged battery should have a resting voltage between 12.8V–12.6V.
- If storing batteries over the winter, periodically recharge to full at least once per month.
- Keep batteries from freezing, especially if discharged lower than 11.8V.
- Recharge frequently even if the battery is not fully discharged. Don’t allow the voltage to drop below 10.5V for an extended period. Premier’s all-in-one solar fence energizers contain advanced circuitry to recharge 12V batteries using the solar panel when exposed to direct sunlight.
- To extend battery life, use a 2 amp or less trickle charge. Repeated fast charging will reduce the capacity of the battery.

The recharger should have an indicator light showing the shared status. Green=charged, red=charging.

Premier sells many very good products however, I don’t recommend this particular charger. I purchased a new 12-volt battery for my Premier solar fence charger so I can swap the batteries out during the winter months when the sunlight in not sufficient enough to charge the battery. I was disappointed with this charger. It does work, but there is nothing even as basic as a red or green indicator light to let you know that it is indeed working or to let you know that the battery is charged. I can use my multimeter to test that the charger does work, it provides over 14 volts of to the battery when charging. I would recommend to someone to spend a little more money and get a charger that gave some more information about charging.

OK but ridiculously overpriced and the packaging was really poor.

Works great!
