SagStopper™ for Electric Netting
Product Details
Lightweight fiberglass supports with slotted ends. Use many (or only a few) to prop up loose netting.
For most, sagging net is a cosmetic problem, not a functional one. At worst, excessive sagging may reduce the “shock” effect when lower electrified strands make contact with the ground. SagStopper™ solves both problems.

- Slotted nocks on either end tension the net vertically; for best results, weave the support into the net’s mesh
- Reduces the effect of lower strands coming in contact with grass, helping to maintain adequate voltage

- 35" SagStopper: 34.25" length, 7mm (0.28") diameter
- 42" SagStopper: 41.25" length, 7mm (0.28") diameter
- 48" SagStopper: 47.25" length, 7mm (0.28") diameter
- Fiberglass with polyester surface veil (protects skin!)
Installation
- Select a location midway between line posts.
- Insert the top horizontal strand into one nock of the SagStopper.
- Weave the support between the horizontal strands of the netting. This helps to improve stability in the wind.
- Insert the other nock into the lower horizontal net strand.

We find SagStoppers provide the most benefit on “standard” nets—those with 10' to 12' between line posts. Be aware, each support will add to the overall weight of the fence. For those moving fences often, it may quickly turn into a two person job. Those leaving their fences in place for a longer duration will benefit the most.

Works very well. Helps maintain full height of fence when you end up with a sag in the panel. Not absolutely necessary with the Premier 1 netting, but nice to have to add a bit more rigidity. Definitely worth the price.

I depend on my 42" pos/neg poultry netting to defend my livestock against predation. Because of terrain, I sometimes get sags which reduce the voltage thru shorting to the ground. These 42" SagStoppers really helped keep the fence tight in the space between the poles and eliminated the grounding. Work great. I hope to eventually get enough to have on all the fences.

I’m sure I’m the problem, but we have tried everything we can think of to get the fence to work properly. All my goats do is try to run through the fencing and get caught up in it. It’s not safe for me to just set up and leave them in. I guess I’ll be sending it back.

Please disregard my last review! I was having trouble setting up my fence and getting the correct voltage. After speaking to the troubleshooting team, it finally works! I did not purchase their charger because I had one that I thought would work. Save yourself the hassle and get one of Premier’s chargers. It’s great to be able to talk to someone who can walk you through it!

I’ve been using PermaNet fences for 14 years, and I recently purchased these SagStoppers to replace the clunky step-in posts I’d been using. I like my fences tight to discourage goats from jumping the low spots that inevitably form without the extra supports between posts. It’s also much safer for babies if the fence is tight. We always have kids try to jump through during the learning phase, and if the fence is saggy, they get badly tangled, and it could end in tragedy, so keeping the fences tight is very important.
These posts actually WORK! This is the first time my fences have stayed upright and tight after a windstorm. Usually, I would have to go around and pull my step-in posts out of the dirt where they had drilled down in the wind, but these keep themselves above the soil. I like how lightweight they are. I will be able to roll the fences up and move them without removing the SagStopper posts. Great addition to my PermaNet fences!
