SnapOn Harp Clip
Product Details
Reliable, easy-to-use plastic clip insulators secure low-tension electric fence conductors to fiberglass posts. The “harp” design allows conductors to slip easily into place while helping prevent them from working loose.
- Fits most 3/8" dia. posts including:
- Holds polyrope, twine, braid or narrow tape without slipping
- UV-treated plastic resists cracking and deformation
- Ideal for multistrand fences in pasture subdivisions, rotational grazing or temporary enclosures
To minimize hand strain, use a SnapOn Harp Clip Tool for faster installation.

Installation
- Position the clip at an angle with the two open ends of the clip against the post.
- Using your thumb and finger, push and twist simultaneously. This spreads the clip’s jaws and allows them to snap securely onto the post.
- Slide the harp clip up or down to the desired height. (It’s a tight fit!)
- Thread the electric fence conductor through the clip.
Tips
The clip can be repositioned by hand, but it takes some effort. Plan ahead and snap the insulator onto the post near your desired height. Make sure the harp points upward on the post.

These insulators work well once placed on the post. In cold weather one side of clip will occasionally snap off. Metal applicator is recommended for apply to posts.

I can recommend these clips without hesitation. As others have mentioned they are a bit difficult to snap onto the posts but once on they stay put. Excellent.
