Tri-Pod Waterer, 8 gal
Large-volume waterer for those who tire of frequently refilling small waterers.
To keep the water clean, it has 3 legs that elevate the waterer off the ground or bedding.
Instructions/Diagrams:
Specs
- Capacity: 8 gallon
- Suited for: adults
- Height: 22"
- Number of birds: 100
- Waterfowl: yes
- Base sits 5.5" above the ground
Note: The exact number of birds to water is difficult to determine as there are many factors that influence intake; salt and protein levels in the diet, humidity, temperature, productivity (growth or egg production) and the birds ability to process feed and water.
How to Use
- Fill from top with a hose.
- Make sure valve is closed when filling.
- Once full, screw the cap back on and open the valve to enable the water to flow. Water will stop on its own due to vacuum seal.
- Water fill level is high so be sure to set it on flat ground to avoid spillage.

I thought this water container would be great. It works great ounce it is full and the lids back on it but getting it to filled up is a pain. The valve at the bottom doesn't close and water goes everywhere. I have to take the thing out of the chicken coup to fill so i don't make a mess.

Really like this Waterer. It took me a few days to figure out on how to get the vacuum seal to work (my fault for not reading the instructions)but now it works perfectly. Good deal and good performance. Thanks.

I love the capacity and ease of filling, but don't like having to dump it to clean the bowl. Be sure it's level or you'll have over flow. The water valve is a little tricky at first. The chickens love it, but the bowl needs to be cleaned frequently.

I like this waterer very much easy to clean and fill doesn't have to be on perfectly level ground and even my turkeys can drink out of them. Great for our hot summers as they don't run out of water everyday.

Very simple to assemble. Looks like it will be a good product. Requires perfectly level ground, which might be a problem with chickens. Might order another.
