Tri-Pod Waterer, 8 gal
Large-volume waterer for those who tire of frequently refilling small waterers.
To keep the water clean, it has 3 legs that elevate the waterer off the ground or bedding.
Instructions/Diagrams:
Specs
- Capacity: 8 gallon
- Suited for: adults
- Height: 22"
- Number of birds: 100
- Waterfowl: yes
- Base sits 5.5" above the ground
Note: The exact number of birds to water is difficult to determine as there are many factors that influence intake; salt and protein levels in the diet, humidity, temperature, productivity (growth or egg production) and the birds ability to process feed and water.
How to Use
- Fill from top with a hose.
- Make sure valve is closed when filling.
- Once full, screw the cap back on and open the valve to enable the water to flow. Water will stop on its own due to vacuum seal.
- Water fill level is high so be sure to set it on flat ground to avoid spillage.

I bought this waterer thinking it was the greatest one I had ever seen. However, I have now been using it a few months, hoping it will get easier to use, but it's just so much more work to fill than other ones. The valve at the bottom does not close so the second you unscrew the top lid and start filling, water pours into the bowl and overflows..all over the floor! I have to actually remove the bottom valve and have one of my children plug the holes while I fill it! What a pain! Also, the top opening is way too small..as others have stated, you can't get your hand inside to even clean it. I absolutely love all of the products I have purchased from Premier, however I am left utterly disappointed in this one. I paid dearly to have it shipped to Canada and feel like I just threw a LOT of my money away. Premier...please redesign this item.

Really like. Very sturdy and the birds quickly began to use it. I am going to switch all my summer watering stations to this model.

Love the size and ease of filling! LOVE the legs! Keeps everything so much cleaner!

Great affordable larger capacity watererer! I have 5 of them for my flock of 350 hens I fill them every two or three days. Only issue I see with them is the valve control is a little tricky to figure out and I feel like it may break eventually. Besides that I am enjoying mine greatly.

I use this waterer outside under an awning so I have no problem with the spilling water or need to move when filling. The bowl is much easier to clean than other types of vacuum waterers... just open the top and swish the bowl water until it's clear. Thus far, after two weeks of use, I have had no problem with build-up within the tank. The top opening should be larger to facilitate cleaning.
