Tri-Pod Waterer, 8 gal
Large-volume waterer for those who tire of frequently refilling small waterers.
To keep the water clean, it has 3 legs that elevate the waterer off the ground or bedding.
Instructions/Diagrams:
Specs
- Capacity: 8 gallon
- Suited for: adults
- Height: 22"
- Number of birds: 100
- Waterfowl: yes
- Base sits 5.5" above the ground
Note: The exact number of birds to water is difficult to determine as there are many factors that influence intake; salt and protein levels in the diet, humidity, temperature, productivity (growth or egg production) and the birds ability to process feed and water.
How to Use
- Fill from top with a hose.
- Make sure valve is closed when filling.
- Once full, screw the cap back on and open the valve to enable the water to flow. Water will stop on its own due to vacuum seal.
- Water fill level is high so be sure to set it on flat ground to avoid spillage.

This item is very sturdy and my chickens love it. They started using it right away. Shipping cost was out of line on this product.

Love the capacity. Hole to fill could be a little larger to make it easier to clean. Great product will probably buy another in the spring.

IT IS GREAT. I FILL IT UP ABOUT 1 TIME A WEEK AND THAT SAVE ALOT OF TIME. IT IS EASY TO TURN OFF, FILL WITH WATER AND TURNBACK ON.IT'S UP OFF THE GROUND AND THAT HELPS KEEP IT CLEANER THEN THE SMALLER WATER JUGS, BUT STILL NEED WASHING OUT EVERY NOW AND THEN.

Currently have 2 of these waterers...really love them. Large capacity..gives ample water in warm weather. Sturdy legs keep the crud out of the water bowl (just needs a little swishing). We ran an extra garden hose drop w/PVC shut-off above the waterers to eliminate moving filled units. Only real design issue... top opening needs to be larger to make cleaning easier. Our large combed roosters & hens have been able to use them easily. Will be ordering more soon !!

Seemed like a good idea but it is hard to fill- must be taken out of coop so water doesn't run all over. It is very hard to move when full. Has to be on level ground. Can't scrub out the inside.
The birds do seem to use it just fine but just hard for me to use it. Our water gets really smelly inside this container. Not like the metal ones.
