This is a solid unit. When looking for one of these online, I did find some at a cheaper price point but they looked to be flimsy and the designs didn’t include the features this one did (such as the backlash prevention brake). I am glad I decided to spend the extra money on this one.
Having worked in the metal fab industry, this seems like an item that is coming from a smaller shop and not mass produced. The steel is a healthy thickness, welds are solid, hot galvanized properly, and small details such as plastic caps in the ends of the tubes are present.
I like that this unit sits on the 3-legged pad instead of driving into the ground like some cheaper ones do. I have had no issues with it sliding and it is easy to move. You don’t have to remove the wire or disassemble it to move it. A single person can lift it but it’s a breeze for two people to grab and throw in a truck. The brake to prevent backlash works properly and is a very nice feature to prevent making a mess with your wire free-spooling.

Design needs to be different with the spokes. Needs to go smaller to adapt to more coil sizes. We ended up grinding off the bottom some to make it smaller. Wasn’t enough, so we had to use it without all four spokes.

I had NO issues using this on a 4000 ft roll of high tensile. I think it is a good product for the cost.

The opening is too small and cannot be used with poly-coated (PolyPlus) wire.

This is my first experience with using high-tensile fencing, so I didn't have any idea which unroller to buy. Past experience with Premier 1 products gave me confidence to order what this store has, and I was not disappointed. Very easy to assemble, not too heavy to lift around and had no problems unreeling from a 4,000 foot roll of wire. I mounted it on a trailer to pull behind my four-wheeler. I haven't fiddled around much with the wire brake system, but so far no worries. Good product at a good price.
