Product Details
This very strong X-Tuff Feeder stands up to abuse from big sheep, horned goats and years of hard use. Everyone is impressed when they see these.
- Heavy enough to keep your large ewes from knocking it down like similar plastic feeders.
- Small openings (2-1/2" x 4-1/2") prevent sheep and goats from pulling out more than they can chew.
- Holes on bottom of hay feeder allow lambs/kids to eat.

Hay is in short supply in Maine this year. I think these hay feeders will pay for themselves in 1 winter. I have good built-in feeders for my group pens of sheep, but needed something for lambing pens and for my ram. The feeders arrived in 4 days, and are more rugged than I expected. My ram smashes buckets or anything else I hang in his pen so I first tried hanging this outside of his pen to protect it. He could eat, but had to work to get hay through 2 sets of wire. After a few days I hung it in his pen, clipping one corner to the wire pen panel with a carabiner. I have been impressed. My ram eats all of his hay with no trampled waste, and is unable to dislodge or damage this feeder!
I hung another in a pen with 2 cows and their calves so the calves could get "extra" while the cows ate from a manger. Again, no damage! Great quality product I expect to use for many years.
