I raise small batches (150 - 250) of broilers in the coop in winter and outside in summer. I have used double-wall, galvanized waterers for over 30 years and they never last very long. Found these and thought I'd give them a try; bought two on a test basis. They worked better than anticipated. I have read all the reviews here and wonder about valve problems because I have experienced none. They have worked so well, I ordered two more.

The first 2 days, my ducks drained all 8 gallons of water by playing in it. No biggie, I'm use to my ducks playing in their water. On day 3 it was still almost full. I really like the design. Top filling is SO much easier then the fill and flip ones I had. I am extremely happy with this waterer.

I had bought these 25 yrs ago and just bought replacements. I like that it keeps bird, even geese, from fouling the entire water supply and one refill can last more than one day.

Seems good so far. Haven't had to refill in a week!

love the fact that it holds so much water but you need to rethink the cleaning process. almost impossible to do. having to use a high pressure hose and it makes a terrible mess. had to run a hose to every pen cause it's not easy for a 120 lb female to carry very far, full of water!!! thanks and enjoyed reading all of te other reviews!!
