Works great…until it doesn’t! I so wanted this to work because it is lightweight, the water level is visible, and the spot to refill is perfect. However, every single cup leaks at different points in time. MAJOR design flaw! Zero stars.

The water cups leak where they screw into the container. The holes in the bucket where the cups attach is isn't flat so the rubber washer cannot make even contact to create a seal. Even after trying multiple times to seal them with silicone, as Premier suggested after contacting me after my first review, the water will just drain out within an hour after filling. When I bought 2 of these it seems like they were more than $46 each but it's been a while and even if the price was the same as it is now, it was still at least $100 down the toilet. Like I said, I left a review after owning them a few weeks but that review must have been deleted because I don't see it anymore. This is the only product that I have bought from Premier that I have been dissatisfied with but none the less it's crap.

I was a little concerned that my chickens would not understand the waterer. They are not tame enough for me to hold them up to the nipple. My young pullets pecked the nipples within an hour and the older ones copied the young ones. They were all using the waterer within a day. Definitely cleaner than the gravity fed tray fountain type.
I struggled removing the lid of the fountain waterer, so I love the top filling.

So far I am very pleased with the 3-Season waterer. I did originally receive the wrong thing—cups instead of nipples, but I was sent the nipples immediately and got to keep the cups anyways. The screw-in nipples have not leaked even the tiniest bit and the top fill cap makes filling it very easy! The birds cannot sit and poop on it, and the handle is sturdy.

I have two of the heated nipple water buckets. They work well. But in the summer it can get VERY hot and my chickens could not seem to pound enough water from the buckets. They spent a lot of time pushing and pounding. I put out pans of water last summer to give them easier ways to get a full swallow of water. They drank easily from them, but the clog dancing that was a favorite chicken pastime in the heat made the water filthy. I had to refill them 3+ times a day.
This year, I got this bucket… with the refilling bowl drinkers. So far it seems to be doing exactly what I had hoped. The chickens can get a good sip, not drops. They can drink the bucket half gone in one day but it is extremely easy to refill from a hose. I jet spray the gravity filled bowls clean with the hose at each refill.
I am very happy with this new water bucket. The chickens are, too!
