Length—How to choose?
The shape and length of the handles help determine the hand strength required to squeeze the trimmer. Maximum leverage isn’t always desired; many shepherds prefer comfortable trimmers that fit their hands for all day use.- Longer blades may reduce the # of overall cuts needed; blades longer than 2" can clear most hooves with one cut
- Shorter blades are better for precision work

I have arthritis in my hands and had a hard time trimming my goat's hooves until i bought the ARS 140 DXR Serrated trimmers! I love them and am so much faster now so my goats appreciate that and love the trimmers also.

These trimmers are wonderful. They are so sharp and just the right size for my hand. It took less than half the time to trim with these. I wish I had purchased them long ago!

These hoof trimmers are amazingly sharp. They cut my alpacas hooves like a hot knife through butter. I wish I had purchased these a long time ago.

Just used these on 2 goats last night. They cut through their hooves like butter! Certainly will make my job much easier.
