Bucket Teat Unit
Bucket teat units were first introduced to the USA by Premier over 30 years ago. They have been the “gold standard” design ever since.
Feed orphan lambs, goat kids and calves by attaching this unit to a square bucket. Teats sold separately. (See Accessories tab below.)
Use a bucket teat wrench to easily tighten or loosen the plastic gray “nut”.
Additional washers (sold above) may also be needed when using thin-walled buckets.
Teats sold separately.
Why so low? When a young ruminant stretches out its neck to nurse, their esophagus elongates and forms a groove that carries the milk into the 4th stomach (the abomasum).
If the neck is not stretched, the milk falls into the first stomach instead of the 4th. But the first stomach is intended for grass and hay. It doesn’t digest milk well. A first stomach with too much milk enlarges to form a “potbelly”—and the lamb/kid can’t thrive.
Mountable Teat Feeders (for welded wire panels or wall mounting) are an alternative DIY option.
Listed below are recommended optional components or related items. Your particular situation may require alternative recommendations. Please call and talk to our consultants if there are any questions at 800-282-6631.

Love this system and have had little issues with leaking or lack of interest from our goat kids! Everything has held up great to the goat’s abuse and I’m sure we’ll get many seasons out of this!

Our old washers were old and weathered and caused leaking in the bucket. These work great once you get them straight on the grey washer. That isn’t the easiest, but doable.

I love this product! I’ve use these units for the past ten years for my dairy goats. They’re easy to assemble and clean; plus very reliable. I use a fine bottle brush to clean them. I use the red rubber nipples. They’ll last six months or more. I always show buyers of my kids this product and recommend them.

Very easy assembly, the valve inside the bucket let's the kiddos get every last drop. Excellent product.

This worked so wonderfully. I even had day old lambs trying to suck it.
