The cage bracket won’t work if you use half inch wire square hardware cloth or smaller for your coop, like I do. The drinking straw will not fit through the wire squares so there’s no way to put it on the outside with that kind of material as far as I can tell.

I love these for my Serama Chickens. I wish they would make them in a UV resistant material to help prevent mold growth.

Love this drinker! My 4 chicks learned how to use it literally within seconds; I simply held each one up and tapped their beak to it once. They are now beautiful 14 week old pullets & it’s still the only waterer I’m using, just raised up higher. Easy to fill & zero leaks so the brooder & coop floor have stayed dry. Great product. I’m about to order another!

Ordered 2 of these for our 11 chicks and they are excellent! Water stays clean and doesn’t get spilled. They do drip but only a little bit—not enough to affect the bedding if you stay on top of cleaning the brooder and use some zeolite. As soon as I took the chicks from their shipping box, I touched each of their beaks to the nipple and they immediately caught on. I have a feeling they’d have figured it out on their own anyway! :) Great product and there’s really no reason to use any other kind of waterer!

The chicks didn’t start out with a nipple feeder, though I wish they had. It’s infinitely easier and less messy than the other type. They didn’t need any training. They figured it out in about 30 seconds to a minute. The shininess of the nipple helped with that too. I wish the top wasn’t flat, because they roost on it but it washes easily.
