I have tried other oils in the past for my shears but nothing keeps them as clean and well lubricated as Premier's Shearing Oil. Other oils have allowed my blades to tarnish and rust over the course of just one season. This oil keeps them looking new year after year. I will always keep a half gallon on hand.

Over the past 20 years Premier has been our first go to for many shearing items including the LARGE sized #10 clipping oil. We have saved the original small bottles that come with the new clippers, re-fill the small bottles and use those during shearing. Something of a no brainer $ wise. Does exactly what it is supposed to do, as long as you really use it. Does not stain llama fiber at all. One of the other comments talks about lube/cooler sprays and is quite accurate, not a good idea. We use clipper oil, and blow out the blades occasionally with compressor air to get dirt out. The oil is applied AFTER blowing out the teeth.

We really like this oil but feel the price is rather high. There is no odor or color left on the fleece when shearing. We are unable to purchase anything like this in our area, so we have to order it. Premier service was good.

Great oil but I don't like the bottle. The end is not small enough to just let out a drop at a time or get it in the little oil hole. But I put the oil Ina. Smaller bottle and it works great! Great price too!
