Eagle 10 Small Clipper Blade Sets
For general clipping of cattle, hogs, sheep, goats, horses and dogs.
Snap-On blades are self-tensioning which is helpful for new (and experienced) users.
Instructions/Diagrams:
Common Uses
- For clipping of cattle, hogs, sheep, goats, horses and dogs
Specs
- Leaves hair .06" (1.5 mm)
- Standard blades have 18 upper teeth, 26 lower
- Wide blades have 27 upper teeth and 39 lower
- Self tensioning
- Snap on
- Same source as Premier’s proven large blades
Ceramic Blades—Sets incorporate a steel bottom blade and ceramic top blade. The “sharp effect” lasts longer than steel sets. The downside is that ceramic cannot be resharpened. But they do last.
Precautions
Proper Storage
- Remove blades/combs/cutters from clipper or shearing machine.
- Clean blades/combs/cutters immediately after use by using a small brush or blowing off any excess dirt or hair. Cover with oil to reduce risk of rust. High carbon steel clipper blades will rust overnight. Rust will destroy both the edge and polished surface of blades.
- Store clipper/shearer and blades away from solvents, chemicals and moisture. Never leave them where they can be damaged by accidental impact.
Sharpening and Cleaning
- Premier offers an in-house resharpening service for all combs, cutters and blades. Rapid turnaround—most are sharpened within 24 hours.
- To reproduce the quality of the cutting edge on the clipper blades that came from the factory, a lapping machine must be used. Most other methods are, in our experience, inferior. In addition to producing a cutting edge that won’t last, some methods can permanently damage blades. The most common “culprit” is using large high speed grinding wheels that are used to sharpen cutters and combs.
Warning: Clipper blades/cutters/combs that have been sharpened by inferior methods or inexperienced people may be damaged to such an extent that they can never be restored to a satisfactory cutting capability. The same is true of blades that have become too heavily pitted by rust.

I have 3 different brands of clippers for my horses and the replacements fit all of them well. I called Premier's customer service to confirm what I needed and they were very helpful. I’m sending my older blades in to be sharpened.

Was too tight screws when arrived. Once I figured this out they worked. Plus they messed up my first order with not completing address. Nothing I do as I use PayPal that fills in information. They however charged me again for shipping.

The metal blades work great, but I’m offering the one star review here specifically because of the ceramic blade. I ordered it hoping for it to last a little longer than the metal, and it did terribly. I have two standard poodles. I’ve kept them groomed beautifully with Premier 1 clippers since they were pups and never had an issue. The ceramic blade, however, stayed sharp through ONE cut of one dog. Now it won’t even work to give the face a quick trim, and of course I cannot have it sharpened. Sadly, a complete waste of money for me.

Nice sharp blade pre-lubed. Price was good for the quality.

We recently purchased 2 sets of the cordless clippers from Premier. With one set we got the Eagle #10 blade. It is the only blade that seems to work well on our show lambs. I bought a couple other brands of blades and they seem to pull, not cut the wool. So I bought 2 more sets of the Eagle #10’s. And all our products arrive quick and are packaged nicely so no damage.
