A portable electric fence designed to contain and control the movement of meat and dairy goats, flighty breeds of sheep or to enclose rams and buck goats. Often used in managed grazing systems or to protect beehives from livestock and bears.

Features 10 horizontal strands (9 conductive), is 42" tall installed and has white plastic vertical struts every 12". For more support in uneven terrain, “Plus” nets include additional line posts spaced every 6'8" (vs. 12.5' for standard 42" ElectroStop®). The result, when properly energized, is a nearly impenetrable mesh to sheep, goats, coyotes and dogs.

Benefits
Very easy to move. Secure for adults, lambs and kids. Extra height is better for large and/or flighty animals. Visible for animals against all backgrounds. End posts act as built in gates. Multiple nets hook to each other quickly via a clip on each end. Double spike posts are more stable in soft soils. Plastic strut verticals are more rigid than string verticals. Nets with vertical struts bunch less than string verticals when the net is being rolled up or unrolled.

Each roll is a complete fence and can be quickly installed in less than 10 minutes. One roll (100 ft) weighs only 15 lbs. You will need a fence energizer to electrify the net.

Common Uses
Used to keep sheep, goats, guard dogs in while keeping out stray dogs and coyotes. Also used to keep bear away from beehives. Suitable for cattle.

For small breeds such as Pygmy or Nigerian Dwarf goats use PoultryNet style netting. The tighter spacings are a better deterrent to these species than the wider spaced ElectroStop.

Installation
The same “unroll and then unfold” process applies to all electrified nets. Minimal strength or skill needed (and no tools). Extra supports such as FiberTuff™ step-in posts are useful at corners, curves and ends. You will need a fence energizer to electrify the net.

Precautions
Electric fence is a pain barrier, not a physical barrier. A common mistake is not electrifying it. Animals may escape or become entangled (and may die). On a % basis, entanglement is very rare, but it can and does occur. If animals are scared or starved it will not keep them in. The first time you put the animals in the net, you should be available to watch them for a while. That way if one were to get into the fence and get caught, you can turn the power off and get them loose.

Warning! Due to risk of fire, do NOT use continuous output energizers with electric netting or electro-plastic conductors such as rope, twine or tape. Use only with a low or wide impedance intermittent pulse energizer. (Fi-Shock™ brand energizers which are sold as low impedance, continuous current output should NOT be used with electric netting.) All energizers sold on Premier’s website use an intermittent pulse and are suitable for use with electric netting.

Dry conditions and wintertime usage may reduce the effectiveness of electric fencing. Ice and heavy snow can flatten netting and thereby damage it.

Dry or frozen ground may cause post spikes to bend or break if inserted with force. Pilot holes may be needed. We recommend using drivable or single spike posts in hard soils. Double spike posts provide more stability when the ground is soft.

Troubleshooting
If the voltage drops below 3000V on the net, you need to turn off the energizer and unhook the net from the energizer. Test the energizer by itself. If the voltage is 5000V or higher on the energizer, the problem is in the net. The most common problem is that the lowest “hot” strand has been caught around one of the metal spikes on the posts and is shorting it out. The net must be at least 2" away from anything metal (metal posts, existing fences, spikes on support posts).

Warranty
With proper care, netting should last 5-7 years. Replacements will be prorated.

ElectroStop® is 7" taller than ElectroNet® and designed for goats rather than sheep. The net is heavier and not as easy to install as ElectroNet® (taller net = added weight and longer posts). If you have sheep use ElectroNet®, if you have goats or flighty breeds of sheep, choose ElectroStop®.

We love this fencing! We have added several sections over the last few years. The Plus version works great with the closer spacing of the posts. We use it for goats and a couple dogs that were constantly roaming away from our property. This fencing has allowed for our goats to have plenty of grazing room with the flexibility to incorporate multiple types of terrain, and our dogs have lots of space to run and play.

I purchased 2 of the “Plus” versions because of the closer spacing of the posts. We live high on a hill (the Driftless Area of Wisconsin) with no such thing as even ground. These work great with our sheep. I move them weekly or every other week and these have worked so well I ordered 5 more. Will be ordering more from Premier 1 in the future.

We use 4 of these panels to keep our goats contained while they eat their way through our overgrown woods. The goats have never escaped from this fence. It's very durable, we leave it in place for several days then move it as needed. A neighbors herd of cows once broke into our woods into this fence (it was not powered at the time). They pulled it up and wrapped it around a tree but there was no actual damage to the fence. Very impressed.

I have purchased this netting two times now, with plans to get more. I use this to rotationally graze my small herd of goats through my woods and brush. I love how easy it is to set up, move and take down again. Its very simple to hook up to the solar energizer as well. I do have to make sure no tall weeds or branches touch the netting to get a good charge. Also, train your livestock! I set it up in their regular pasture for a few days to train them to it.
