Recently my house became infested with fruit flies because of my roommates banana habit. We just couldn’t seem to get rid of them no matter how many times we threw out the garbage or sealed up the bananas. I bought one of these glass traps and now we hardly have any at all. There’s no mess—we hung them up and it’s great.

Advertised for managing fruit flies and indicates can be used on countertop. Shows up and it’s clear that it must be hung and used outside. No way for fruit flies to get in. Description should be changed and stop marketing for small pests. Box it comes in even says wasps, etc. I thought I received the wrong product until I checked the other reviews and realized no one likes it and have the same complaints.

The title and description of this product is inaccurate. It is not a “Fruit Fly Trap”, but rather a gigantic wasp trap meant for outdoor use. The instructions and bait are for wasps. It would take an inordinate amount of space as a kitchen fruit fly trap, if it would work at all.

“Glass Fruit Fly Trap” – I bought this as it was billed as a fruit fly trap but the instructions on how to bait it do not include for fruit flies, only outdoor wasps and bees. Plus its HUGE for an indoor trap, I wasn’t expecting that. It’s pretty and well made but without baiting instructions for the thing it’s actually named after, it’s not so useful.
