High-Tensile Sleeves
Low cost option for splicing, terminating and making electrical connections on High-Tensile (HT) wire. Produces conductive joints that will take strain.
For 12.5 gauge wire. Barbed sleeve fits 16-12.5 gauge wire.
Specs
- High-Tensile: 2-3/4"L x 3"W x 1-1/2"H, (100/box)
- Hayes: 2-1/4"L x 2-1/4"W x 3-1/4"H, (100/container)
- Barbed: 2-1/4"L x 2-1/4"W x 3-1/4"H, 1.60-2.50mm/16-12.5 gauge, (50/container)
How to Use
- Slide all 3 sleeves onto one side of wire to be spliced through one side of sleeve holes.
- Thread second wire to be spliced through other side of holes in sleeves. Overlap wires so there is enough space on wires for all 3 sleeves.
- Use a Crimping Tool to crimp the sleeves closed.
- Before terminating the HT wire, slide both sleeves into place on fence line.
- Bring the end of HT wire around post, through an insulator if needed, and thread end of wire through remaining hole in sleeves.
- Use a Crimping Tool to crimp the sleeves closed.
