Tips
To reduce “bridging” and “rat-holing”, use a coarsely ground feed to maintain proper flow. Feeds with too many fines may bind up in humid climates.
We prefer coarse cracked, crumble or pelleted type feeds. Our hens will pick their preferred pieces from feeds with a high proportion of fines and waste the rest.
If you find excessive waste, consider changing the feed type, or raising the feeder (making it more difficult to scoop out feed).

Sure wish I’d had got this feeder sooner, holds a great deal of feed and no problems with it clogging any at all. I’ve used from fine ground feed to course feed and all have done well which is saying a lot with the 80 to 90 percent humidity we experience most days. I have them in and outside.

I was excited to get this product, hoping my birds would never be without feed. Sadly, this product has not met my expectations. We bought the 50 pound version, so we poured a 50 pound bag of feed into it. It sends the feed down the tube as the birds eat, but unfortunately, it just sends down feed from the middle, and leaves the bulk of the feed stuck in the hopper. Hard to explain, but the birds frequently have no feed available even though the hopper is half full. I have to open it and stir the feed to coax it to go down. This is not ideal. In addition, one of the units we purchased had the handle break off the lid as we were putting it together. For the price, this shouldn’t happen.

These feeders are awesome and we couldn't be happier. They keep the feed dry and the hens don't seem to spill it out and it saves on the wasted food we used to have. Love them!

We purchased the 50# feeder and works amazing! I see in a lot of review that say the legs fall off of both, the water and feeder. All 3 legs have a “tab” that they LOCK INTO if you put your back into it when u push it into place it will never come off. If you don’t own the waterer that looks similar to this feeder you will want to look it up.
I’ve been raising chickens for the better part of 10 years and this feeder is a no mess feeder. This IS the last feeder I will buy. The quality and design is amazing. I look at things different than most—I look at how cheap and flimsy stuff is made and put together. I can’t find one thing I’d change with it.

Item arrived quicker than I thought. Easy assembly and works great. Took the ducks a few minutes to decide weather it was gonna eat them or not, but we've had it for a few weeks now and works great.
