Lamb Cradle
Use this cradle to carry or weigh newborn lambs and goat kids.
The plastic ridges of the Lamb Cradle “grip” slick newborns and keep them from sliding out. Openings in cradle allow navel to protrude through the holes.
Can be attached to a Digital Scale to hold lambs and kids during weighing.

My first one of these broke after years of use. (I have a nylon version of this, it’s not user friendly.) This lamb cradle is stiff enough to slide under a lamb one-handed, so when dealing with twins and a angry ewe success is almost guaranteed. This is why we bought two. I would not lamb in our pasture system without them.

This little sling is perfect for newborns and hangs well on our scale. We bought the fabric sling last year and it is great only for larger lambs. This yellow one just hangs in the barn ready to use!

This cradle seemed like a great idea. Its easy to clean and worked fairly well for weighing lambs, but it broke within the first week we used it. The plastic tore where it hooks onto a hanging scale while we were weighing a lamb. And although it worked okay for weighing (until it broke), I did not find it super secure for carrying lambs, especially if they are a bit wiggly. I have bought many things from Premier and love the quality products and the incredible customer service, this one just did not work out for us. Next time I will definitely go for one of the fabric slings.

Only thing to make it a little better would be nubs on the inside of the cradle to hold wet lambs a little firmer. But works great the way it is!
