We bought this sling to help us rehab one of our Shetland sheep that had become cast overnight. After a vet call and some steroids, she was wasn't using her legs to stand. We confined her to a small pen, massaged her legs, rotated her a couple times a day over 3 weeks. Then we decided to purchase the sling. We used a block and tackle in the barn hallway, lifted her daily in the sling. She slowly began to use her back legs again and even the one front hoof which had knuckled under. After 5 days, she started to stand and is now getting up and down and walking on her own with just a slight limp. Sling was sturdy and nicely adjustable to smaller sized animals. Glad to have it on hand!

I will never bend over a goat and fight them to trim hooves again...this thing was well worth it, even with the shipping. All you need is a tree, block and tackle, a couple S hooks, and the sling. Hoist them up and get to work, they hardly move.

Great help in trimming the feet of goat’s feet. Best tool we have come up with.

Very easy to use and safe with new kids as well older kids. We are very happy with our purchase of this item and the digital scale.

The sling is well made, but was not big enough for my 200 lb Lamancha buck. I ended up welding on a couple of pieces of metal conduit to keep the sling from "scrunching" in under the animals belly. The sling is probably just fine for smaller animals.
