MaxiShock Double Insulated Cable
Premier’s MaxiShock 7-strand cable covered with a double layer of pliable plastic insulation.
Because of its low tensile strength and thick zinc coating, wrapping it several turns around the conductor or stainless P spring provides an enduring connection capable of transferring the high volts and amperes of low impedance energizers.
By contrast, HT insulated wires, including our Double Insulated Wire are much less pliable to work with on such connections.
- Hot wires to each other
- Energizers to fences or ground rods
- Gate activators to fences
- Flood gaps to fences
- For below ground electric fence connections
- 7 strand cable
- 1.7mm diameter
- Low tensile strength
- 160 lb breaking strength
- 10 years of probable life
- Extra-thick layer of galvanized zinc protects the connection from rusting
- Cut the soft wire cable with a knife or heavy duty scissors
- Strip off 3" of the insulation
- Wrap it 4 or more times around the wire by hand
When working with this wire, always be sure that the energizer or fence is turned off.

Great cable, very easy to work with. Seems like it will last a long time.

Previously used (house type) electrical wires underground and found in a short time that the insulation broke down. This (double insulated, single strand) product held up very well. It’s been in the ground for 3 yrs.

This cable is great and affordable. Yes, it’s a little difficult to strip, but perfect for running power under a gate, etc. Just better quality then what you can purchase locally.

Strong, yet flexible wire. Little difficult to strip the insulation at the ends and maintain all of the conductors. You just have to be careful doing so.

This is a great product for using with a solar energizer. We use it to electrify our fencing in the forest for our pigs and chickens.
