How to Use
Oral Use: OVIShield should be given to newborn lambs within 4 hours after birth. It should be given by mixing 10-20 mL of the serum supplement with ewe colostrum or milk (or commercial colostrum supplements/lamb milk replacer) and fed with a bottle or stomach tube.
Subcutaneous Use: OVIShield can also be given as a subcutaneous injection at any time after birth. Use a 5cc dose given at birth and if the lamb will receive colostrum in its first 24 hours of life.
If the shepherd is not sure if the lamb received colostrum after 24 hrs, use two (2) 5 cc doses given aseptically by injecting two separate 5 mL doses (10 mL total) under the skin above the right and left shoulder. The injection site will leave a visual lump that disappears within a 24 hour period.
The serum supplement must be stored at refrigerator temperatures (4°C to 8°C) and can be held at this temperature range up to one year. Longer term storage can be achieved by freezing the product; however repeated freezing and thawing should be avoided as this will reduce antibody activity. Aseptic technique and sterile needles must be used when drawing the product from the bottle.

The product is great. I would recommend it as essential part of breeding season.
However I will not order it again from Premier until they fix their supply chain issues. When you are charged as much for shipping as you pay for the product you expect it to arrive in the specified time. Premier now simply says..”We cant guarantee delivery cold or on time so you can order or not order”…NOT GOOD ENOUGH!
I just dumped North 40 for bad customer service and moved my $14-20,000 per year account elsewhere locally. I only spend about $8,000 per year at Premier but I am now looking for another supplier. You either do what you do well or you drop that part of your service. Period. Ship on time, COLD or don’t ship but don’t charge for overnight shipping and tell the customer “You’re on your own!”. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.
If the OVIShield didn't arrive cold, please call 800-282-6631 or contact us online for a refund.

Best thing I’ve bought for lambing. Saved 3 lambs so far after colostrum would of been to late to absorb. Def recommend injecting rather than feeding it, takes half as much and no risk of the gut not absorbing the antibodies.
BTW the product description instructions don’t match the ones that come from the manufacturer. The PDF product info link has the ones you need.
