PigletNet™ Plus 11/30/3 Electric Netting
Product Details
A prefabricated, portable electric fence best used with sows and piglets in moist areas (green grass). Tight spacings effectively contain small piglets. 30" height deters ground-based predators.
Pigs are very susceptible to electric fence. Their weight and narrow hooves anchor them firmly in the soil, making excellent ground contact.
For dry areas look to HogNet® 10/24/12 for its Pos/Neg capability.

Precautions
Warning! Due to risk of fire, do NOT use continuous output energizers with electric netting or electro-plastic conductors such as rope, twine or tape. Use only with a low or wide impedance intermittent pulse energizer. (Fi-Shock™ brand energizers which are sold as low impedance, continuous current output should NOT be used with electric netting.) All energizers sold on Premier’s website use an intermittent pulse and are suitable for use with electric netting.
Dry conditions and wintertime usage may reduce the effectiveness of electric fencing. Ice and heavy snow can flatten netting and thereby damage it.
Dry or frozen ground may cause post spikes to bend or break if inserted with force. Pilot holes may be needed. We recommend using drivable or single spike posts in hard soils. Double spike posts provide more stability when the ground is soft.

We were looking for a portable fence for piglets that would allow us to easily move them from place to place in our pasture. It couldn't be something that took too much time or was too difficult to use as our kids help with most of the piglet moving and care. Premier 1 fencing was familiar to us and they had just the solution for what we needed. It's working great and teaching the piglets to respect the fence.

This fence is an amazing improvement over other pig fence options. The smaller mesh is much more visible to the animals, deterring both young and old animals. The reduced space between posts is also an incredible improvement, and helps the fence stand up to some rooting of soil much better. All that and it is still much lighter than poultry fences. This should be the standard pig fence for anyone raising pastured hogs.
