This book is a great starter book for raising sheep. It is great for those who have had sheep since 1985! Dr. Kennedy has passed, but his teachings are golden. AND, his fellow authors have even updated management practices in the second edition.
Easy reading. All you need to know! I give these to my sheep buyers and keep my autographed copy too!

Received this book as a gift and I love it! Although I am an experienced sheep producer, I find that there is always something to learn. I find Dr. Kennedy and the staff at Pipestone Vet to be full of knowledge. This book does not disappoint.
Easier to read than a vet textbook.
I did learn a couple of things that are helping me with my goats, but I feel this book is mostly about sheep. It reads like someones notes, not really like a book. It is nicely divided into sections that are easy to use, but I needed to search around to find the information on goats. Maybe it all crosses over between sheep and goats, but that was not made clear. It’s a small book with a spiral binding, so its easy to use and I will refer back to it again, but not as helpful about goats as I had hoped.
