I bought two of these crates. Very sturdy, hard plastic will last for years. However I’m only giving it four stars because the design of the top door is poor. I’ve bashed and pinched my fingers in it multiple times because it slides from side to side. It’s hard to open. It’s a really bad design to have to use a lot of muscle to slide it open and when you think it’s latched it’s not and your birds are flying away. Would I buy again? No. I’m going to look for a crate that has a lift-top door, not a sliding door that I’m bashing my hands on.

Crate works as advertised. Holds around thirty four week old red ranger broilers. Top door is pretty stiff but will probably loosen with time. The one thing I will note is absolutely watch the video while putting together. It doesn’t tell you in the video but when putting the front together the tabs on the side face in towards back of crate. They tell you when doing the back but not the front. Once you snap it in, it’s done and not coming apart.

The crate is sturdy, stackable, well ventilated and easy to load full grown birds. Watch the video for assembly instructions.
