Double spike posts

Product Details

A 42" tall portable electric fence used to keeps in chickens, ducks, geese and other poultry while keeping their ground-based predators out. Recommended for containing heavy, non-flying birds.

For fences that involve curves, corners and directional change, or when aesthetics are a concern, “Plus” nets include additional line posts to reduce sag. Line posts are spaced every 6'8" (vs. 12' for standard 42" PoultryNet).

Each roll is a complete fence with the posts already built into the mesh/fence. One roll (100 ft) weighs only 21 lbs. You will need a fence energizer to electrify the net.

New to electric fence? Premier’s Starter Kits may be a good choice. They include netting, extra support posts, a solar fence energizer, ground stake and a digital tester. Already have an energizer? See our Netting Kit.

We offer many fences to fit your situation, including complete kits, different heights and lengths, multiple colors, drivable posts and positive/negative options for dry soils. Visit this link to compare all PoultryNet options.

Some users dislike the tendency of standard PoultryNet to sag. So we developed PoultryNet Plus with extra posts to reduce sag and enable the fence to better adapt to corners and curves. (FiberTuff support posts are still recommended at 90° corners.) When aesthetics are a concern, less sagging = more eye appeal. The extra posts make the net heavier to handle so we shortened the rolls to 50 ft and 100 ft lengths.

I'm raising 50 Cornish Cross broiler chickens, the chicken tractor was too small for all of them as they got older, so now I put them up at night for there for safety, during the day.I open up the chicken tractor and they're free to roam which makes them happy, they have more access to nutritious foraging, and I'm able to have peace of mind knowing you're safe from predators, will highly recommend this fence.

We just bought 2 more lengths of this netting for a separate turkey run and now have 7 lengths of the netting and have been using it since 8/2013. We have used it with laying hens, turkeys and goats. It has been successful against all predators including our biggest threats - raccoons, foxes, coyotes. Also, important to me is that it is tough and handles snagging when I move it, because I use it in wooded areas as well as open fields. I think we started with 2 lengths of the netting and keep buying more because it is a really good product and delivers what it promises.

So far I really like this netting. The quality is great and they are so easy to use. I live in a hot and dry climate so often the ground gets as hard as concrete, but I was still able to drive these in. I am not using it as electrified currently, and it still works. So far no escapes. I am very pleased.

We recommend that netting is always properly electrified. Remember... this is a pain barrier, not a physical barrier. Our experience shows that animals may escape or become entangled (and may die) more often when netting is not properly electrified. Properly electrified netting is also an effective barrier against predators. — Premier

This was quick and easy to install. The green netting is fairly unobtrusive. The post spacing is a little closer than some other fences and works much better.

Sets up quickly & easily. My chickens are poult size and can slip through the fence. Should work fine once they are a little larger. They know where the food and other flock members are, so if they slip through, they tend to return quickly.
