We find these much safer than metal and wire heat lamps. The lamps are mostly used in our lambing barn or chick brooders. Even though we find our lamps safer than others, we take every precaution to make sure our lamps stay safe. We secure them 20" or more above the lambs/kids (slightly lower for chicks), we wrap the cord around our panels and we clip them to the panels. It’s our experience that 175 watt bulbs produce enough heat for lambs and goat kids, while 250 watt bulbs are more suitable for poultry.

Fantastic item and customer service from Premier 1! We had our first on farm kidding and this light has been a favorite of the little twins. I’m beyond thrilled with this purchase!

I’m exceedingly happy about this purchase. I raise Nigerian dwarf goats and these lamps are perfect for the kidding season. I have hassled with the metal heat lamps that come apart and short out for years. So glad I purchased these. They are pricy but worth it—safe, easy to assemble, love that if they fall they shut off, long cord, good quality!

My turkey and chickens love it! These lamps are fabulous and makes me feel better about the safety of my coops. I do need a few more, but I will need to save up as they are a bit more expensive than other warmers.

Well made. It’s a good product. Turns off if tipped and the guard below the bulb is heavy duty.

The lights work great. However one arrived without the white grill and I needed it the week they arrived. I emailed as soon as I seen it was missing and here I am a week later with no grill. Tracking says it should arrive today, but after spending over $600 you would think they would ship it priority at least, if not overnight.
