QuikClean Chick Brooder
Product Details
Brood chicks up to 5–6 weeks of age. Chicks have freedom of movement within the secure brooder to move closer (or away from) their heat source, which can be either a heat lamp or heating plate. Slotted, wire floor allows feces to fall through to a removable collection tray.
- Hinged lid opens for easy access
- Quick, simple clean-up using the catch-all tray
- Keep your chicks warm using a heat lamp or a heating plate (up to 12" x 12")
- Keep chicks contained and protected from predators, even during their “flappy” stage
- Included heat lamp support provides 31-1/2" of clearance and can swivel when opening lid
All-in-one QuikClean Chick Brooder Kit arrives with the needed items to simplify your chick rearing. (Learn more below.)

I bought this to house quail chicks. It is excellent. It all came together quickly. Someone had complained that the tray doesn’t go all the way to the back but you just bend the back or the front of the tray very slightly and you’re fine.
My only complaint is that I really wish they had made the grating at the bottom go both ways. The bars are too far apart for quail chicks.Even at one week I can’t put them on those bars because they will fall through with a leg and get caught. I almost lost a chick to chill because of it.
I’m going to have to make my own piece of 1/4" wire mesh flooring.

We are very pleased. It arrived promptly and putting it together was not near as difficult as we had initially thought. It was simple. The brooder is sturdy, and we anticipate the arrival of our baby chicks.

Perfect for chicks. Only thing is that there is a gap in the back where the tray slides in.

I like the brooder. It works as advertised. Set up was easy and it seems to be good quality. Time will tell. Four stars only for two reasons:
- The sliding tray does not meet the rear wall, leaving a small gap for droppings.
- IF it was my design, I would add a wire cage/panel (maybe similar to the floor) just under the top. Then when you open the top there would be no worry of the chicks jumping out. I placed a piece of chicken wire in this location and closed the lid over it. However, a secondary lid, under the main one…where you can access only a portion of the interior for food/water…that would be ideal.

Beware! Some of my chicks legs fall through the wire bottom of this brooder leaving them dangling and stressed. These are standard sized chicks so I imagine bantams would be even worse.
For now I am covering the bottom with paper towels, but that negates the benefits of the removable catch tray. Otherwise, the brooders quality is nice. It arrived very well packed and was not damaged at all in shipping. It was easy to put together and is easy to clean.
