This is a very sturdy feeder. My steel ones ended up breaking every year. Recommend.

I’m using it for baby chicks. Not much waste whatsoever. Keep it pretty full so they don’t try to climb inside.

Love these feeders. Bonus points for not having to purchase a separate feed cover for the top. Hardly any waste and flows nicely with crumbles.

This feeder is very good at preventing wasted feed and for this reason I have purchased two of them.
However, the feeder is difficult to hang because the hanging loop at the top is too small and most snaps and hooks don't fit in it. It is also a bit difficult to fill because you have to hold the cover with one hand and pour the feed in with the other. There should be a built-in way to hold the cover open while filling the feeder.

I loved the large Saturn feeder. So I bought the small Saturn for my smaller chickens. They were scattering more feed than the were eating. The lip edge around the area they eat from prevents them from digging and tossing out their chick feed. Love these feeders. ❤
