I got good solid expert advice on how to fix my old IntelliShock 60 that I bought back in 2017: I needed a transformer and a new computer board. Cost: about $102. So I sprang for it. The instructional video was helpful, but I had way more trouble getting the old board out than was depicted on the video, so I called in and they walked me through my options in getting it out without breaking the supports. Anyway, it was successful and everything works fine now EXCEPT for one minor detail: The on button flashes red (low charge) even though the output is stronger than ever, so there may be a bad or outdated circuit on the replacement board. The transformer was easy to replace.

Fixed issue quickly.

I don’t know whether I needed a new transformer or not. It could’ve been just the motherboard. But since I needed the electric fence to work, I ended up buying both and replaced them with the excellent help from Premier’s technician. The fence works as good as ever.

Premier’s support team was great at helping diagnose the issue. Transformer ohm test should report 9 ohms but mine was reading 8.8 ohms. Replacement transformer read 9 ohms and worked perfectly.

Happy to have parts available. My solar fence charger burned out in one year.
