T-Post Adapter & Ground Rod Mount
Enables fence energizers to be mounted onto standard T-Posts or T ground rods.
Can be used with these energizers:
- Solar IntelliShock 30, 60, 120 and 180
- PRS B50, I25 and I50 (previously sold)
Specs
- 2-1/2"W x 8-1/2"H
- Plastic
How to Use
This adapter fits over a wide size-range of T-Posts (there is not a standard T-Post size). Fit will be tight or loose depending on the individual posts.
- If the mount has a loose-fit, use a hose clamp to tight the base of the clamp against the post.
- Or, drill a 3/8" hole into the base of the mount where it rests against the flat side of the post. Thread a nut onto a bolt and insert into the hole from the outside. Using a second nut, secure the bolt to the mount. Place mount onto T-Post and adjust the nuts and bolt to provide tension against the post.

The adaptor fits very lose on the T-post and kind of just flops around. It will hold the unit up on the post but I expected a tight fit. The unit leans back on the post due to the play in the adaptor. Had to hose clamp it so I didn’t worry about it falling off.

This probably works best on a T-post. I got it to go on the T-handle grounding rod, but the rod is too small for this cap and it allows the solar charger to move around way too much. I suspect in a heavy wind it’ll fall off.

This device is anything but a T-post adapter. You will need a plumbing pipe to fit it, and then you can attach the plumbing pipe to a U-post. Make sure to tie the unit to a fence post for stability.

Doesn’t fit a T-post. Must use zip ties to make it work. Every time you move fence must replace zip ties.

Too wobbly for our T-post, but good on the ground. The energizer seems too heavy and liable to fall from the T-post because I didn’t have a hood fit, but I like the little bit of extra height off the ground.
