Benefits
- Inexpensive and durable; we challenge anyone to match Premier’s combination of cost and quality.
- Having an elevated animal when foot trimming saves your body from stress or strain. Pinchers, knives and trimmers can be used with lowered risk to animal and user.
- Restless animals don’t like to stand still. A platform restraint allows a free hand when using shearing machines or hand shears.
- Fine tune your show animals appearance by focusing on fitting the animal—not holding them still.
- Hot-dip galvanizing ensures an attractive appearance and the lowest cost per year of use. (Hot-dip galvanized steel resists rusting longer than painted steel.)
- Lightweight design is easy to carry and store.
- SHIPS FREE via Ground Service within the contiguous USA.

This stand is great! Took it to our first jackpot show and it was easy to fold down and load, easy to set up, and was able to handle being moved, bumped, and knocked over by sheep and people. I am looking at getting another one and putting the milking headpiece in for my little dairy goats. This is a great product.

Built to last; the hot dipped coating is nice (if you plan on painting the stand you need to strip the coating before painting). I plan on purchasing a rubber mat (cutting appropriate holes for the guard rails and ramp) to extend the life of my stand, and a easier surface to clean after shearing my Pygora Goats.
If you work with goats by yourself, or have a handicap, this is the stand you need. Ramp and rails make it easier to bring a goat up if they are not acclimated to a stand. The rails keep a nervous goat from falling off the stand; they can also help to provide support areas, and points of reference when you trim hooves. The rails are not a "snug" fit; they are light enough to remove with one hand while trimming.
If you are working with kids the wheels give you the additional height you need in order to lower the head restraining piece (if you want to save a buck you can elevate with wood or bricks). The wheels are hard rubber, and make it so that one person can move the stand without ever dragging the stand. The wheels slide on and have no locking mechanism, so it is easier to switch the side of the wheels.
Would have been nice to have some technical info included with the stand (max weight, stand maintenance and care).
Would recommend the trimming stand over the milking stand as a first purchase due to its versatility for horned, and de-horned goats; dually for vaccinations, trimming, and even milking. In order to milk you would need to have some slack in the chain, and feed by hand in small amounts.
Stand has supported 500+ # so far with no trouble at all (~300# goat + ~240# shearer). Just be aware of your higher point of gravity while on the stand with a goat.

Wheel Kit – Seems to work ok. But there is nothing to lock them into place so they won’t just come out.
Ramp – Works well, but it seems to have been made in a hurry. There were still sharp pieces of metal all over it.
Side Rails – Very loose and wobbly.

My rating is based on evaluating the stand, trimming head piece, wheels, and side rails. Stand is sturdy, well galvanized, and easily unfolded by my 12 year 4H girl; however, there are some negatives that left me and my daughter somewhat disappointed as follows:
- the circular side rails fit very loosely into square tube steel brackets. For example, the of the side rails will move laterally back and forth almost 6". Gives a very flimsy feel, regardless if it won’t actually break.
- the wheel assembly does not lock into place so if you go over a rough surface (curb), the stand will pull out from the assembly, leaving the wheels behind. Really, gravity holds on the wheels?
- the trimming head piece is well designed, but too long in the face for 50# weaned goats (Boer); had to use an additional Velcro strap for which there were no holes to attach.
- and finally, no instructions (at all). While I could easily figure out the stand (mostly), we had to use website pictures to figure out where to put the wheels and then we discovered the website had an assembly video - that showed everything but installing the wheels. Not even a reference card in the box to use the website video. So much for teaching my daughter about following directions.
So, is the stand worth the money, yes. The side rails and wheels, NO. Design improvements are required.

I've only used it a few times, but it's sturdy and well made.
