Precautions
Warning! Due to risk of fire, do NOT use continuous output energizers with electric netting or electro-plastic conductors such as rope, twine or tape. Use only with a low or wide impedance intermittent pulse energizer. (Fi-Shock™ brand energizers which are sold as low impedance, continuous current output should NOT be used with electric netting.) All energizers sold on Premier’s website use an intermittent pulse and are suitable for use with electric netting.
Dry conditions and wintertime usage may reduce the effectiveness of electric fencing. Ice and heavy snow can flatten netting and thereby damage it.
Dry or frozen ground may cause post spikes to bend or break if inserted with force. Pilot holes may be needed. We recommend using drivable or single spike posts in hard soils. Double spike posts provide more stability when the ground is soft.

We originally purchased 2 x 100' white pos/neg fences to encase our garden and ward off squirrels and rabbits and were happy with the result once we figured out how to set them up well. We did discover that chipmunks can find ways in, so we’re working on solving that.
While it is true that these fences sag when installed quickly and without pulling substantial tension starting from the second pole (don’t worry you won’t break it!

Our chickens are large fowl and generally do not "jump" at all. This fencing we used for inside our horse pasture to fence off more garden area. We wanted this type to keep the deer warned away, and the horses from messing with it. Keeps the dogs out, and wild rabbits. We got the white. Easy to put in, looks great, we love it.

I also didn't realize the upper holes were so large and my chickens jumped right through. I wanted 5 ft high fencing and didn't appreciate from the product pictures that the openings were 12' X 12". I have draped bird netting over the top 4 ft of the fence and it has kept the chickens in and unwanted critters out so have been able to salvage it's use. Wish the poultry net fencing came in 5 ft heights. Will order the poultry netting in the future and use the VersaNet for my garden.

I am pleased with the 60" VersaNet purchased last year to protect my garden, so am ordering another 100' as I expand. Given the 5' x 100' volume of poles and netting, it was a bit awkward to roll out myself, but I decided to give it a try as I knew critters were eyeing my new sprouts. The installation really turned out to be easy once I got it laid out on the ground. The double spiked poles are super easy to step into the ground.
My vegetables, fruits, and flowers didn't get touched all season - despite attempts by rabbits, squirrels, racoons, possums, coyotes, deer and even feral hogs! And the birds enjoyed using the fence to watch for insects and the hummingbirds used it as a perch as well.
The fence is currently down to store in the barn over winter, so am enjoying having unlimited access to do dirt work and take measurements as I plan next years garden. It is so much easier to make changes and adjustments over time with the VersaNet than with a permanent fence.

Have about 500' of premier fencing for my goats and love it- was really looking forward to this for the chickens. But I was disappointed to see 2 chickens 'hop' the fence the first day (just between the first bigger space, as it's only about 1.5' off the ground). After 1 month and 25% of the chickens have figured it out - the rest will be hopping out soon. Splurged on the price and regret we didn't go with metal chicken wire with an extended stand of electric to keep out the predators- could have made a comparatively larger pen for the price and rotated less frequently.
*Our herd has both wings clipped and the fence has strong power.
