I have been using these shears exclusively on my Bluefaced Leicesters. I originally bought them when I started, due to affordability over a good set of electric shears. I have stayed with my hand shears!! I love these... the quality steel holds an edge when sharpened properly (I can often do 3 sheep on one sharpening). The rubber bumpers are super and make for very smooth feel. The spring (handle) is easy to work, and they are not hard on your hands. The animals and I appreciate the quiet, no heat build-up, or messing around with sprays and oils. No electric plug/cord needed!! It takes longer but very worth it for the small flock. I have also used these on Angora goats. I would ONLY buy these B&B hand shears over other similar products. Very, very please with this product.
It took some practice to become proficient with these hand shears, but after some time I loved them! They work well on my long-wool Icelandic sheep.
