Navel Cup
Product Details
Navel cups are the perfect way to administer navel disinfectant to prevent lamb navel infections.
Navel cups enable treatment of navels with less mess and waste—so the disinfectant ends up on the lamb's navel and not on you!
- The small neck reduces evaporation
- It’s easy to use because there’s no lid to unscrew, drop, and misplace
- A built-in clip allows the cup to hang onto the side of lambing pens, so it's easier to find in a barn
Specs
- 8"L, 3"W, 3.75"H
- Plastic
How to Use
- Fill navel cup with Triodine-7
- Apply navel cup and coat navel with Triodine-7
- Remove navel cup and allow navel to dry
Tips
How much Triodine-7 is needed?
Enough to cover the entire cord. We cover up to 200 lambs per bottle. Cost in time and $$ is little when compared to benefits. Before using the navel cup, clip the navel short so it doesn’t drag on the ground or risk mother stepping on it. Lessens the chance for bacteria to enter.

I love the concept but agree witb others about the size. I have a small herd of Boer goats and usually only 2 kids at a time. Woild like it in a smaller size and with a lid.
But it makes doctoring the kids so easy and no mess.love having a handle and being able to hang it up.

i agree it needs a cap of some sort. that would make it perfect. however a little plastic wrap can make a good make shift plug. but for what it is i wouldn't be without it! i gave it 3 stars to get people to read the reviews so they can see it needs a cap and is larger then you think when you order it.

Best one I have had; would be nice to have a cap to cover it between lamb batches.

Much better than a babyfood jar! Two ideas: 1) threads on the outside of the "mouth" to take a screw-on lid, to prevent evaporation of contents & keep dust out between lamb batches. 2) A screw-off bottom, so when you leave some Triodine in there all year, and it evaporates down to thicker-than-molasses, you can open it up and scrub it out. For the price, I just bought a new one, but I hate throwing things out.

To me, this is a must have in your lambing kit. No mess, less waste, and an inexpensive way to make lambing just a little easier. Thanks Premier!!
