Navel Cup
Product Details
Navel cups are the perfect way to administer navel disinfectant to prevent lamb navel infections.
Navel cups enable treatment of navels with less mess and waste—so the disinfectant ends up on the lamb's navel and not on you!
- The small neck reduces evaporation
- It’s easy to use because there’s no lid to unscrew, drop, and misplace
- A built-in clip allows the cup to hang onto the side of lambing pens, so it's easier to find in a barn
Specs
- 8"L, 3"W, 3.75"H
- Plastic
How to Use
- Fill navel cup with Triodine-7
- Apply navel cup and coat navel with Triodine-7
- Remove navel cup and allow navel to dry
Tips
How much Triodine-7 is needed?
Enough to cover the entire cord. We cover up to 200 lambs per bottle. Cost in time and $$ is little when compared to benefits. Before using the navel cup, clip the navel short so it doesn’t drag on the ground or risk mother stepping on it. Lessens the chance for bacteria to enter.

Great way to apply iodine to the lamb’s navels.
Sandra F from Florida
We thought this would help save $ and time on the iodine for dipping—not sure it will though. We dip umbilical and toes, so we do not want the used iodine to return to the storage section but it looks like that will happen. Previously we have just used paper dixie cups and disposed of them as a single use item. We will try out this, but I dont want to contaminate all iodine in the storage part of the dipper...have to see how that goes still.

Wastes entirely too much Iodine. So much easier just using spray nozzle on Iodine bottle. I feel this was a wasted purchase.

Have not used this as a navel cup yet but I have used these as teat dip cups for many years and they have always worked well.

After using everything from a pill bottle to a measuring cup this does work pretty well. It's rather hard to use and I wish the bottle part was smaller. I had hoped to keep from getting unsubscribe myself, so far it hasn't worked out. Also wish it has a cover.
