Nice quality, has the option to hang or use
the legs to keep the water off the ground and
clean. Easy to fill & clean out

Two of these waterers were bought to replace the open buckets used in my chook-houses (chicken coops in US English) inside an old plank-built barn which can get pretty cool in Kentucky winters. I was impressed by their robust construction and simplicity of design. The lids sit deeply enough inside the bucket to eliminate the risk of being knocked off by chooks trying to sit on them, and the legs do keep soiling of the water to a minimum. Though some litter and its associated dust does get into the drinking trough, droppings in the water seem a thing of the past. However, the shallowness of the drinking trough does have one drawback: if the water in the trough freezes it will also freeze up into the foot of the outlet valve and clearing the ice – along with the dirt, an added plus at least – from the trough does not always free it from the valve, even when the water inside the bucket remains liquid. I may need to put some sort of heater under the base if I don't want to have to muck around with warm water to free the valve.
Pros: Very stable, robust construction, good fit with lid, easily cleaned, slippery plastic discourages chooks sitting on waterer. Easy to fill.
Cons: Valve freezes along with water in trough.
Overall: Excellent value for money. Great improvement in hygiene
