Tips
To reduce “bridging” and “rat-holing”, use a coarsely ground feed to maintain proper flow. Feeds with too many fines may bind up in humid climates.

I gave it 2 stars because when the chickens eat the food, the food in the cylinder does not automatically drop down like other feeders. I have to manually shake it to get the food down. The reason I purchased this was for the cover.

I have found that feed doesn't flow very well from the reservoir into the pan. This is particularly true with crumbles, but also with pellets.

This feeder with the rain hat keeps both rain and snow out of the feed. Although you might need to give it a shake once in a while it's worth the effort. It's big enough to feed lots of bantams at once. An excellent feeder, I now have two of them.
