Brass Ferrules for Netting
Neat item used to repair broken horizontals in electric netting.
Makes for a quick tidy repair. Tying knots in the string works, but doesn't always make a good connection with the metal strands. The brass ferrule helps eliminate that problem.

How to Use
- Place the replacement conductor next to the broken end of a horizontal conductor in the netting.
- Using a pliers, crimp the ferrule together so that both conductor pieces are cinched tightly by the ferrule.
- Do the same to the other end.
- The ferrule is metal and should both physically and electrically connect the broken pieces.

These little ferrules are one of a kind. I tired to find them from another source and did not have any luck. These little ferrules are expensive at 0.14 cents a piece from Premier, so do not drop too many in the grass. When repairing rips in my electranet, they do a fantastic job when it comes to securing two pieces of electrical twine. However, when trying to repair the black bottom line of the electranet, it is frustrating because they are not wide enough to crimp down the two lines together. Premier should make two sizes.

I bought a packet of these because there are so few that come with the standard repair package that comes with a new ElectroNet. Between the sheep and the groundhogs, I need to repair several nets every year. It's a LOT easier to crimp the wires to gather rather than to wrap them with electrical tape, and stronger too. You don't want to be without a package of these handy. The only downsides are that they're REALLY small and easy to lose on the field, and they're not easy to crimp in a way that one end folds over the other (to make the repair stronger). It would be easier to make a good strong crimp if one side of the "U" were a bit longer than the other.

These clips were easy to use for repairing the fence quickly. The price is reasonable for buying a large amount. The repair kits don't have enough clips for most repair jobs. In order to improve the clips, I am not sure if a larger size or a rougher inner surface would be better to get a better grip.
