It's common for a bead of water to hang off the nipple and occasionally drip. This is common with all types of poultry nipples. When testing this waterer, the drips were not bothersome to neither our birds nor us.
Clean the drinker once a month with chlorine. This is important to keep the nipples clean. Make sure there is no chlorine left in the nipples after cleaning.

So far, this is a very effective waterer. It does not drip. The nipples do not reach the ground if you put it on a firm surface to fill up the water. This prevents damage to the nipples and makes this item much better than my previous waterer.
The opaque plastic keeps algae from growing inside the waterer. The cover is easy to remove. Filling this is super easy.
It was very well-packaged to prevent damage and it was free shipping.
Love it and highly recommend it!!

This is the most perfect hanging drinker... the recessed nipples underneath the bucket make it EASY and sanitary to refill. Chickens love it!

I started my day old chicks on your baby nipple drinker and they loved it. So, now that they are 6 weeks old, I thought I would try this larger version of a nipple drinker. I absolutely love it! My chicks were trying to drink while I was trying to hang it. I like the fact that you can also set it down without affecting the nipples. Do not hesitate on buying this one. It's a winner. I'm getting another one for the outdoor run.

This is the only nipple watering device I have found that does not drip and leak. I have just bought my second one. Three gallon is a good size, and even though hanging in the sun I have no algae growth. No dust gets inside either. My girls have one in the coop and one in the run. Good thing, too. It hit 101 degrees here yesterday!
