Bucket Nipple Waterer
- Capacity: 3 gallon
- Includes 3 nipples. Replacement nipples sold above.
- Size: 15"H, 12.5"D
- Suited for: adults
- Number of birds: 35
- Can it hang: yes (includes an adjustable cord)
- Waterfowl: yes
Note: The exact number of birds to water is difficult to determine as there are many factors that influence intake; salt and protein levels in the diet, humidity, temperature, productivity (growth or egg production) and the birds ability to process feed and water.
How to Use
It's common for a bead of water to hang off the nipple and occasionally drip. This is common with all types of poultry nipples. When testing this waterer, the drips were not bothersome to neither our birds nor us.

Love these buckets! Keeps water clean and is easy to refill. I have 6 hanging and plan to buy more. I’ve never had to change water tips.

Excellent quality! I have a mobile coop setup so I move the coop, chickens and Premier 1 fencing frequently. While one Bucket Nipple Waterer attaches to the coop, another one is on pasture mounted to a T-post. I sandwich a 3 inch piece of 2x4 between a bucket hanger and a vertical T-post bracket. When I move the chickens to fresh pasture, I just pull the T-post and reset in the new location. So far the lid has not blown off, but I’m thinking a bungee-cord would hold it in place if needed.

Very high quality waterer and the chicks started using it right away.

We love these watering buckets! Granted, we haven’t had a storm yet to see how well the lids stay in place, but the water is sanitary and we introduced it to 8 week old chicks who have taken to it just fine. They recommend showing your chick by guiding their beak to it. We just let them see the water coming out by touching it repeatedly with our finger. Guess it depends on how spooked your chicks are around you. One of the nipples on a new bucket does leak a bit, but it’s not so fast that we’re concerned. (Although we did go ahead and order replacement nipples with our original order just in case!)
