I’ve installed about 50 of these on my chain link fence last fall, and almost every one of them has broken over that time. The part that attaches to the fence really isn’t wide enough for the mesh of the fence and it’s difficult to attach. I’m not aware that there are different sizes of chain link, and if there are, the description should say the insulators fit only a certain size mesh. Also, once they’re attached, the angle of the part the wire goes through isn’t right. I haven’t yet contacted Premier 1 about these; hopefully I can give them a good review for customer service if they will make this right.

Works great, easy to install on standard chain link fence. Giving it only 4 stars since they are made overseas.

Absolute junk. I've had nearly every one of these break. As was mentioned in another review, the first few broke upon installation, so I used a long nose pliers to help pinch the fence together to get them to fit on it without bending them. Well, they have since been breaking and falling off on their own in the weeks since. I've had more break then stay on the fence. I've since went elsewhere to find chain link fence insulators. I think Premier 1 is a good company, so none of this review is directed at them. Rather, it's to warn others to not buy these particular waste-of-money insulators.

Two broke as I was installing them. The installation tab has been removed and both prongs have large ends which make them difficult to install. Hard on the fingers! Standard size chain link fence so there is no problem with my fence. You have to stretch the prongs out further because of the larger ends. The old ones were MUCH better and none of those ever broke. They work but no where near as good as the originals.

These also attach to 2X4 wire mesh so I started using them on gates. Very secure feeling.
