This has been the most helpful accessory for raising chicks. I don't really know how I ever did without it. It eliminates water all over the litter and the need to change more frequently. Also there is no poop in the water thus keeping the chicks healthier. I have six of these now.

These work great for chicks and I even see some of the adult hens coming over to use them at chick level. The price was great and I am very glad I bought them. The only issue I have with them is the metal hanger that comes with it. It would only work if you are hanging it with the nipple going thru the wire into the cage and the bottle on the outside. If you try to use it to hang the whole thing on one surface the bottle slips down and out. If you put the wire under the nipple arm, the bottle tips forward. Glad I ordered the brackets or I would not be able to figure out how to use them. If there is some other way to make it work with just the wire brackets, they need to show it in action!

So glad I purchased these. I had to show a few of the chicks how to use them to begin with, but then the rest of them followed suit quickly. It is a much cleaner and easier way to provide water to them. Another thing to make my work easier in the chicken house.

I got two of the waterers and will never go back to the floor ones. The baby chicks took to it right away. I was so excited and it was fun to watch them. They are easy to fill and the water stays clean. Two are working fine for twenty five birds. I fill it twice a day. I would definitely get more.

I have 4 of these waterers around my cage that holds 50 chicks. I just wish they were taller to hold more water. After 10 hours they do run dry. The chicks choose these waterers via the old way. Very easy to fill and water stays clean.
