ElectroFence® 11/48/12 Electric Netting
An effective electrified fence that keeps in sheep, goats, guard dogs and cattle while keeping out deer, coyotes and bear.
How it differs from PermaNet®:
- An extra “live” horizontal strand.
- Lowest live strand is only 4" above the soil (vs 6" for PermaNet).
- Verticals every 12" (vs 6").
- Strutted verticals instead of string. Less likely to sag between posts.
How it's similar to PermaNet®:
The same in all other respects (post size, post spacing, height and conductivity).
Which ElectroFence® is right for you?
We offer many fences to fit your situation, including multiple lengths with different post spacings, drivable line posts and positive/negative options for dry soils. Visit this link to compare all ElectroFence options.Common Uses
Available with positive/negative (Pos/Neg) capability for high resistance fencing conditions.
For small breeds such as Pygmy or Nigerian Dwarf goats use PoultryNet style netting. The tighter spacings are a better deterrent to these species than the wider spaced ElectroStop.

Installation
Tip: When using Pos/Neg fencing, a PowerLink (see Accessories above) is recommended to attach the negative lead to the ground rod.
Note: Weeds must be controlled for ElectroFence to remain effective. Either move and mow as needed during the growing season, or spray herbicide (see photos above) along the bottom strand of the net. If you can’t do this, ElectroFence may not be the right net for you.
See PDFs and videos above for additional installation instructions.
Precautions
Warning! Due to risk of fire, do NOT use continuous output energizers with electric netting or electro-plastic conductors such as rope, twine or tape. Use only with a low or wide impedance intermittent pulse energizer. (Fi-Shock™ brand energizers which are sold as low impedance, continuous current output should NOT be used with electric netting.) All energizers sold on Premier’s website use an intermittent pulse and are suitable for use with electric netting.
Dry conditions and wintertime usage may reduce the effectiveness of electric fencing. Ice and heavy snow can flatten netting and thereby damage it.
Dry or frozen ground may cause post spikes to bend or break if inserted with force. Pilot holes may be needed. We recommend using drivable or single spike posts in hard soils. Double spike posts provide more stability when the ground is soft.

This fence is wonderful. It is easy to put up and take down. Given our dry, clay type soil; we use the pos/neg during the dry season. I would recommend this product.

We have used ElectroFence for years with sheep. Now we have no sheep, but find it works really well for our dogs for the past 5 years. It really is great when we go RVing. Dogs are to be kept on a leash which makes none of us very happy. We have had no problems with any park when we put up the fence (1 length) around our rig. The dog gets to 'run' free and we aren't having to keep one hand occupied with the leash. We don't let the dog run in the yard unless we are there with him.

Since we have some very dry spells here in Central Texas in the summers, we purchased the pos/neg version of the 11/48/12 net for our Nubian goats. We've been able to set up temporary foraging areas for the adult does and another area for a doeling who is being weaned and her "companion" doe (not lactating). The most time consuming part of set up was mowing the tall native grass where we wanted to put the fence. The rest of the set-up was quick and easy. This is our first experience with electric fencing, and we couldn't be happier.
James B from San Juan Island
Last year we purchased an electric fence and this year we purchased the ElectroFence® 11/48/12 Electric Netting. Both are very good products. We will be constructing our own electric fence to keep deer out from around a quarter acre of orchard/garden. We will be using the very visible rope/wire, when we are ready. Deer have no predators on this island, except for human hunters..

Bought this to make semi permanent paddocks for our sheep. The hardest thing about installation was unrolling the nets. My wife and I installed 300' in less than a half hour. I installed posts at the corners and around a tree and there is little sag in the fence. So far it has kept our sheep in and dogs out.
